This! I made this for ~TwilightSaphir’s Sakura cosplay, artbook version. It’s made of wood, metal pipe and wire, cardboard, Styrofoam and craftfoam, reinforced with Bondo and epoxy resin. The head and handle are two separable pieces. The thing took two or three months to build, but then the resin…!

I didn’t keep count but for many many months, I would have my routine of putting 1-4 hours on it daily, just sanding forever and prepping for the next resin layer. So many tiny corners! I was down to “sanding” with a toothpick at times. I simply had to stop at one point because I'd feel physically ill working on it. Anyway, the surface it gave is smooth but still fragile and not worth the time, so I’m never doing this again.
